My Wedding Miniature

After I “graduated” from the polymer clay classes, this is my first attempt to a more comprehensive project. I have tried to replicate closest possible to my wedding - try to compare this miniature with the real pictures. I have done some modification though in some areas. Look at the bride and the groom – that’s me and husband My hair do is similar to my wedding hairdo! It took me >2 hours to “set” my hair, no joke…reason being I was experimenting on ways to “perm” my hair nicely. My husband’s hair is easy though. My hubby wore white actually during the wedding ceremony. However, I turn it into black (which he wore during the wedding dinner anyway) because it will just look dull with both of us in white.

The presence of fairies and cupid (the boy wearing a blue underwear :p) is just my imagination. I got a professional orchestra group with different types of musical instrument – violin, cello, flute, trumpet, piano, drum, percussion and triangle. I invited also a soprano singer!.... My fantastic imagination again

Of all the miniatures here, I personally like the flower arch the most….I seriously think that my flower arch looks soooo much “lovelier” than the original. The original is really old fashion.

The Start of Polymer Clay ...

Cutie Bear

A few months ago, I browsed internet looking for some craft related article and eventually I bumped into a clay related website –
www.d-xite.com . The crafters there are really good at doing miniatures and soft toy. And all of them are willing to share their skills and I benefited a lot from there actually.

Later on, I found out that Craft Haven has craft classes. So, I just enroll myself in a 4 day polymer clay class.

This is my first polymer clay lesson – bear. It does not look cute for the first glance. But later on, the more I look at it, the more it looks adorable to me, hehe.

My second lesson – learn how to use the mould. All these products are made using mould.

My third lesson - making jewellery beads
